Two New Awesome Green Nail Polishes

Here is what is going on over at Impressionist Nails!

Two of my new favorite polishes are making their debut on the blog!

Nail Pattern Boldness Flipping Out Hard is a gorgeous matte glitter that is a dupe for the 'floam' nail

and...

L'Oreal New Money is an unexpected green that is the cheaper version of the very lust-worthy Estee Lauder Absinthe.

Enjoy!

CK One Street Edition: Tagged Lipstick

CK One has been a brand catching my interest lately, especially because of their unique packaging (they look like little pills!) so I picked up a lipstick from the Street Edition Collection

These lipstick are the same as their shine lipsticks, but with a pretty pattern on the packaging. The color I picked up is Tagged and is a pretty glittery pink.

The packaging was too cute on this collection (you can still find some out there milling around Ulta's) but the normal CK One shine lipsticks are $16, putting this in the mid-range market.

To me, although it is packaged as a lipstick, it has a hybrid formula, as it is very gloss and slightly thick, making it last a long time on the lips.

Some people may not like the thickness of this on the lips, as it almost functions as a very thick pigmented balm, but the effect is very pretty. The lasting power is also strong.

I like the glossiness of the formula and the way it kinda melts onto lips! Tagged is such a gorgeous dark pink shade.

Overall, I am not completely sold on the CK One Shine lipsticks, but I like this color and am eager to try more from the brand.

Have you tried CK One?

Guest Post: Amazing Nails by Brooke from prettyandpolisheddd

Hey everyone! Today is really special because I want to introduce you to an amazing nail artist! I've been so impressed with her work on Instagram that I wanted to feature her, so let me introduce you to Brooke!

Hi, my name is Brooke. I am a 20 year old college student who loves to paint nails! I started doing nails when I was young. I would take a paper plate and a toothpick and practice making flowers on it for hours. I would get my nails done and observe how nail professionals did their job. I started doing my own as well as my moms' and sisters' nails frequently and word spread quickly and soon, I had a lot of friends, and my moms' and sisters' friends coming over to get their nails done. I asked around and got all the tools to making nail art possible. As I did more nails, many people would ask if I had thought about doing nails in the future and many suggested I should start my own nail business. When I created my Instagram, it opened my eyes to the nail world and I saw all the creativeness and how far nailart can go. I have advertised, but it is hard with Instagram because not everyone is from the LA area, as I do nails from out of my home. Many of my designs are inspired by others, but all my nails are my own. I have a great ability to recreate almost any design. I am self taught so I don't do much cleaning before painting. I typically just cut and file, then get right into painting. I love doing nails, but as a college student, some extra money would be nice! I would do nails for cheap starting at 10$; the price would be based on the design and time it takes. My Instagram name is prettyandpolisheddd, so check out my nails!

The above design took 2 and a half hours!! For this design, I used regular nails polish, thin brushes and my dotting tools. I didn't do the acrylic nails however. I just painted over her acrylics. I had recreated nail decals from Etsy.

Isn't she talented? Check out her Instagram! She's also a really awesome person in general! Thanks for showing us your skills, Brooke!

Sephora Disney Collection: Ariel 'Set the Mood' Compact Mirror

The Sephora Disney Collections have taken off in such a massive way. One of the main things people are clamoring for in each collection are the limited edition compact mirrors (older ones are selling on Ebay for crazy amounts) so I finally wanted to get a jump on having one before they were gone.

The Ariel Collection 'Set the Mood' mirror is gorgeous in everyway, and totally worth the $20. If you are even on the fence, hurry and try and find one! I don't even see them on Sephora.com anymore!

The mirror is silver with a 'wave' detail surrounding the upper and outer portions, with varying rings of greens and blues ending with a silhouette of Eric and Ariel on the boat, just about to kiss. Adorable!

The inside says 'You've got to be you' in a flowy script, and there is a normal mirror and a magnified version. Cool!

I also love the weight to this mirror. It is really functional as well as beautiful and a gorgeous conversation piece, a joy to pull out of your purse, or a great addition to your collection!

I am so happy that I finally got one of these mirrors. Do you have one yet? Who is excited for Belle in the fall?

Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette Review and Swatches

Hey Pandas!

I am beyond excited to show you the Too Faced Pretty Rebel Eyeshadow Palette for Fall 2013. I knew, even if I only picked up one big fall palette, this would be the one.

This palette is $46 and comes with 10, completely gorgeous, full-sized eye shadows, all housed in one of the coolest package ever!

I am loving the gold case with black and pink detail. So very fun! I am also loving the Francesca Eastwood is their model for this collection, she is gorgeous!

Here are the first four shadows and my thoughts on them:

Dainty: Pretty matte light pink. Makes a great base for eye looks and is a good neutral for this palette. A bit on the chalky side though.

Charming: Pretty eggplant matte shade. Has a bit of brown it as well, and is a good crease color. Very pigmented but also a teensy bit chalky.

Ringleader: Gorgeous shimmery pink champagne color. Useful as a highlighter in this collection. Nice payoff.

Gangsta: Medium brown shimmer with tiny bits of red, pink, and gold glitter. Very unique shade and good color payoff.

These are the more neutral shades of the pallete, but they are still very fun and easy to work with. I am really impressed by the opacity of each shade!

Girly: This is one of the coolest shades ever! A duochrome dark teal with a red flash as the undertone. Simply stunning, very smooth and creamy as well!

Totally Fetch: Can I just say the name here is amazing. One of the few hot pinks that actually translate onto skin as such! One of  my new favorite shades!

Instigator: Think 24k luxe! Super shimmery and pigmented.

Badass: Glittery navy with a hint of purple and silver. Stunning.

Seriously, if I could marry this palette, I would.

And the last two shades:

Miss Sparkles: An inky black base with lots of silver sparkle. Very fresh and young as well as rebellious!

Jailbird: Icy silver with a hint of blue. Easy to apply.

Overall there is nothing I hate about this palette. All of the colors are fresh, on-trend, easy to apply, and pigmented. The colors work well together, but they may not be right for those who wear mostly neutrals. However, the palette is labeled 'Pretty Rebel' and with these eyeshadows, you get looks that are exactly that!

I think this is one of Too Faced's best palettes and they really stepped up their game here. I couldn't be happier!

Panda Totally Approved!

Have you tried anything from the Pretty Rebel collection yet? What do you think of these colors?
