ChapStick Mixstix Green Apple and Caramel

I always love finding cute and campy beauty products, so when my mom and I came across ChapStick Mixstix in Maui we had to get them!

For under $4, you get two ChapSticks in one, with a better formula than normal ChapStick (much more moisturizing and longer lasting) and a cool way to mix and match flavors. There are two others: Strawberry and Banana and Lemon and Raspberry, but the Green Apple and Caramel was too hard to pass up!

Worn alone, each side of the Mixstix is really yummy. Green apple caramel flavors are delicious. But mixed together and your lips taste like those Caramel Apple suckers that have the sticky caramel on the outside. Too fun!

Overall, I think the new ChapStick Mixstix are cute, work well, and remind me of when I was little. Definitely a fun buy!

EOS Pomegranate Raspberry: Quick Review

Now we all know my stance on EOS. Like, but not love. Babylips for the win...yada yada. But I just had to let you onto this scent!

EOS Pomegranate Raspberry lip sphere smells like a wonderfruit from heaven. It is tart, tangy, and a bit sweet. Probably my favorite scent from EOS. It is a drier chapstick that is great for not so messed up lips, unlike mine. About $3, 95% organic, 100% natural.

Fans of EOS or anyone who likes pomegranate. I put those seeds on EVERYTHING. So I mostly just smell this, or swipe it on top of an already moisturizing lipstick. I have issues, I know.

If you like pomegranate, have issues finding chapstick in your purse, and/or like the EOS formula, you have to have this. If only one of the above applies to you: pass.

Price: 9/10
Performance: 7/10
Color/Wearability: 10/10
Packaging: 9/10
Overall Quality: 8/10

Total: 43/50 = B+ = Happy Panda

We all know I am team Babylips, do you have a favorite? Good old Carmex? Cherry Chapstick?

Lady Bug Jane Chapsticks

Lady bugs are really summery, right? I have great memories of playing in my backyard and looking for the little bugs to make wishes on as they flew away.

I happened to be given two 'Lady Bug Jane Flavor Balms' recently and wanted to try them out for a review!

Having no idea who Lady Big Jane was, I decided to investigate, and found her to be an animated children's character created to make kids aware of being eco-friendly. Cool. You can see her here.

The two flavors I received were Vanilla Cupcake and Sweet Strawberry. They retail for $3.99 each and are clear, colorless balms.

These may seem like nothing special right now...but here is what the website lists about them:

They are:

Gluten free
Nut Free
Have no petroleum
Are organic
Fair trade and cruelty free
Have a natural SPF
No dyes, no cetyl alcohol
Paraben and Phathalate free
Have no oxy-benzone
Non-toxic
Made in the USA

As you can see, they are colorless. The smells are pretty incredible though. Not too sugary or fake. Just yummy. They lasted about an hour and a half on my lips and are so moisturizing.

Final Thoughts:

Price: 7/10
Staying Power: 8/10
Packaging: 9/10
Color/Wearability: 9/10
Quality/Branding: 10/10

Total: 43/50 = B = Pretty Panda

If you are interested in these balms, buy some here! I think they are a great product to get behind and support. If you click that link, be aware that I do not get any compensation from it, and I was not paid for this review.

What is the best 'indie' chapstick you have tried?
