Who doesn't want lips like Mrs. Mia Wallace?

I'm not a die-hard enough fan of "Pulp Fiction" to get the entire set (palette, lip liner, and nail polish), but as a self-proclaimed red lipstick aficionado, I just had to have Mrs. Mia Wallace in Urban Decay's amazing Revolution Lipstick formula ($22).

#28daysoflippies Week Two: Instagram Round-up Pink Week!

#28daysoflippies is half over...and this week is red week! But take a look at the pinks that made my final cut!

28 days of lippies

From sheer and baby, to bold and hot, my pink lippies took over my life for Valentine's day week!

pink lip gloss

Pink Lippies:

NYX Glam Aqua Luxe in Essential $6: Super shimmery and fun for a night out.

Lóreal Colour Riche in Blushing Sequin $8: Sheer watermelon with a shiny finish.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss $5: Mauve pink with lots of glitter.

Beautifully Disney Spell Breaker $15: True cream bubblegum pink.

POP Beauty Plump Pout Fuschia Freesia $16: Luxurious on lips and a beautiful raspberry---smells a bit weird though but it doesn't linger.

Urban Decay Revolution in Anarchy $22: Creamy and in your face hot pink.

Too Faced La Créme in Jelly Bean $22: Raspberry with a comfortable wear and pretty sheen.

There is hopefully something for everyone across the board here! Let me know if you have tried any of these!

#28daysoflippies: Week One Instagram Round-up

Thanks to those being really supportive of my first Instagram self-imposed challenged called 28 days of lippies.

A new day, a new lipstick/gloss/pencil for the whole month of February.

It gets me to shop my stash and break out of my comfort zone!

Week One has been the week of my nude lippies, of which I barely have any. This week really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I ended the week (today) with a rose pop of color...next week will be my pinks!

Here's a quick run down of this week's picks, in order, starting from the top left and going across the rows.

1. NYX Butter Lipgloss in Creme Brulee. $4.99. Creamy light pink/nude and decently moisturizing.
2. Maybelline Nude Lust. $7.49. New to my collection. I felt it washed me out but the formula is great!
3. Lancome Rouge in Love 304B Rose Emotion. $28. A pretty, leaning light coral nude pink. Great, featherlight formula.
4. Urban Decay Native. $22. Creamy and pigmented, but thick.
5. Khroma Beauty Joystick in Sea Coral. $8.99. A matte light coral. Love the vanilla smell!
6. M.A.C Stay Sweet. $15. Lightest baby pink. Settles into lines but I still love it.
7. Rimmel Picadilly Pink. $5. My prelude to the pinks, a rosy neutral.

If you haven't checked it out yet, my Instagram link it to the upper right!

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Anarchy: Swatches and Review

Yes, I love Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks so much, I had to go back for more...this time in the form of a hot pink stunner called Anarchy.

Anarchy ($22) was a shade originally on my to-get list, but it was sold out around me. When it came back in stock, I got my greedy hands on it and I have to say, it has lived up to all my hopes and dreams.

Besides, how can a lipstick named Anarchy not be cool?

In a sleek gunmetal casing, the Revolution lipsticks are just as pretty to look at in the tube as they are on the lips. With Anarchy, the formula is just like Native and F-Bomb (the other two I reviewed here). Creamy, ultra-pigmented, and comfortable to wear despite the denseness of the formula.

As far as the shade goes, you really can't get much louder than this bright, blue-toned fuchsia! However, it is surprisingly easy to wear and even easier to tone down if you want.

Here is Anarchy on my lips, applied straight from the tube, with flash. I find they really pump up the look of your lips, making them seem fuller and smoother.

And here it is again on my lips in natural light. Both of these lip swatches are straight from the tube, but I find that with these lipsticks, applying with a lip brush, setting with translucent powder, and then applying again makes for all day wear...nearly 7 hours on me with minor eating and a normal amount of water drinking.

Overall, Anarchy is a Panda Approved shade!

Have you joined the Revolution yet?

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Native: Swatches and Review

To go with my two new Revolution lipsticks, I picked up the 24/7 Glide-on Lip Pencil in Native ($19).

Native is a pretty natural light pink to match the Revolution lipstick of the same namesake. The formula of this is not exactly as creamy as the lipstick though. It does glide-on but looks slightly chalky on lips. However, I won't be wearing this alone, and it performs and looks just fine under lipstick.

This is a pencil you have to sharpen yourself, which doesn't bother me, but since the formula is pretty soft, have a sharpener dedicated to this product or similar colored lip liners.

This is VERY matte, hence its not exactly the most flattering on lips alone, but I do find the matte formula keeps lipstick on much longer. I think this is a great product and it lends a hint more pigmentation to the 'Native' lipstick, giving me full mod-60's lips. Love it.

I really want to check out some of the other 24/7 Glide-on pencils, as they perform great. Unless you are getting 'Native' lipstick though, I would pass on this one.

Urban Decay Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion: Review

There has been so much buzz about Urban Decay's Anti-Aging Primer Potion, so I had to try it! This product truly has more than a cult following, and they only succeeding in making a great product better!

The Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion will set you back $24 but is a enough to last you quite a while, ever since they changed their original packaging to their awesome squeeze tubes. No waste!

This works just like the original and pigmented versions. A little dab spread on each eyelid locks your shadow in all day and really increases the vibrancy.

Here is what UD has to say about this product: "Optical blurring pigments minimize flaws while Dermaxyl and Kalpariane fight the signs of aging. In a clinical study, 100% of participants had a measurable improvement in the appearance of wrinkles after 8 weeks of use."

Obviously I haven't used this for 8 weeks, but it does instantly soft focus my eyelids and I apply it on my under-eye as well and it holds my concealer beautifully. I am hoping it might improve the very fine lines starting to show up around my eyes, but so far, this is a great product with anti-aging benefits for a few bucks more. What is not to love?

Overall, if you see this product and need a back-up or a new eye primer, get this one! It applies beautifully, does everything the original does, but with benefits!

Have you tried this yet?

Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks in F-Bomb and Native: Swatches and Review

In my recent Urban Decay haul, my favorite score was the two new Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks ($22) in F-Bomb and Native.

These are incredible lipsticks, and they truly deserve all the hype they have been getting!

I chose to get two lipsticks from opposite spectrums. Native is a light, opaque baby pink and is more neutral and F-Bomb is a drop everything red. It is seriously jaw-dropping.

Here are the swatches under artificial light and they are stunning. The formula of these lipsticks is amazing: creamy, slightly thick, long-lasting, and moisturizing.

This is Native, with Native lip liner underneath. Pretty mod pink with slightly warm undertones.

F-Bomb may just become my new signature lipstick. This is crazy pigmented in one swipe and wears very well, fading very slowly after about 4 hours and doing so evenly.

All in all...you need at least one Revolution Lipstick in your life. Personally, I want all of them...but we will see...haha. Which one do you prefer? Native or F-Bomb? Have a favorite of your own? Do tell!
