Unless you have already tried these and they work for you, I would advise against wasting your money. This little box comes with 4 single use packets for $6.99. And yes, they are single use---one packet barely covers your face. I was hoping (as with other sample sized things) that I could split them and get 8 masks, which would make it a better value, but I couldn't.
These have charcoal in them, which is part of Biore's (and the rest of the drugstore skincare industries') new trend and gimmick to draw out gunk. It might work in some products, but not here. These are also supposed to be self-heating. More on that later.
These packets are convienient for travel, but that is about it. The heating sensation is only apparent for about 5 seconds and this mask does nothing to 'open up the pores' as it says it will. Other than my face feeling nice after, I have noticed no marked improvement in anything.
This is the entire amount in the packet, and although it looks like a lot, it is so thick that it is hard to spread. Also, the one-minute is completely arbitrary. I left it on for one minute and another time tried ten. No difference in results.
It also contains menthol, which might be irritating to some.
Overall, there are plenty of $1.99 masks out there that leave your face feeling nice---which is about all this does. For 7 bucks and only four uses, I can definitely take my mask hunt elsewhere. Sorry Biore!
Hahaha, yeah I agree! I remember when these first came out and I liked them! But that was before I knew anything hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah, when these first hit the shelves I wanted them for weeks and weeks and they were always sold out!
DeleteMy skin is too sensitive, I find that self heating masks irritate my skin. Thanks for the review on these!
ReplyDeleteAnytime Tina :)
DeleteI haven't tried these but I think I'll skip out since there isn't anything special about them! Great review Margo, and thanks for your honest opinion on them!
ReplyDeleteNo problem Ashley! These were a miss, but they could have been so awesome!
DeleteI have sensitive skin and I tried a similar product. I had an adverse reaction. I had red splotches all over my face. So thanks for my review. I've been staying away from anything self heated.

Oh no! Yes, definitely stay away if you have sensitive skin!
DeleteThanks for letting me know to stay away. I am always a little skeptical of gimmicky products but usually get sucked in anyway. I wont this time.
