FOTD: Ready For Summer!

Hi Pandas! And Happy Mother's Day for all of you moms! I love my mom SO much!!
A Face of the Day has been long overdue here at PrettyPanda, but now that I have some favorites in wonderful, summertime colors, I decided to create an easy summer look.

Easy pink lip, glowy skin, and a pop of blue on my lids. Want the look? Check out what I used below!

1. Dior Lip Glow Color Revive Lip Balm gave my lips a moisturized pink pout that is easy and low maintenance.

2. Before the Dior, however, I prepped my lips with Julep's Sugar Smooch Lip Scrub.

3. NYX's Liquid Crystal Liner in Crystal Aqua made for a cool and unexpected cat eye on top of the eye look I did with...

4. The Tarte Aqualillies palette! I blended Bikini and Parasol and then added Poolside to the crease. I used Captivating (the blush) a tiny bit of Park Ave Princess and Champange to create the glowy look on my cheeks.

5. I topped the look off with one coat of Physician's formula Organic Wear FakeOut Mascara.

I hope you like this FOTD, the whole thing took me about 7 minutes, including a light layer of my Clinique foundation. Probably why my eyeshadow blending skills were subpar, but I was tired!

Hope you get inspired for a summer look of your own!

Dior Lip Glow Color Revive Lip Balm: Swatches and Review

Hello Pandas. Today I have something really special for you! A Dior Lip Balm!

This was a birthday present from my friend Ivy, and I have to say, she knows me well! I was so excited to get this little white bag! This is a very interesting product and I was so excited to try it out.

This is the Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Revive Balm ($31) and is a very sheer pink glossy balm housed in a gorgeous pink case. Dior says it is a "customized lip balm that enhances and embellishes the natural color of lips" This works with each person's unique chemistry to create a one of a kind flush.

It has wild mango and luffa cylindrica which are supposed to moisturize and cushion lips and make this long-lasting. It can also be used over any lip color to enhance it.

Products like this are such a treat! They are so luxurious, and even though this is a balm, it feels like so much more!

Even though you can see my camera and I, I just had to take a picture of every ounce of this packaging. So pretty.

Now, onto the product itself. Dior Lip Glow doesn't look like much, honestly. It almost looks like the jelly-ish L'Oreal balms. However, it applies like a hybrid gloss/lipstick instead of a balm and the color changing effect is immediate.

Here is one swipe of it in natural light and it doesn't look like much. I was starting to become saddened, but this is something that really only works its magic on lips.

There is a subtle shimmer to it that is much more pronounced on the swatches and not the lips. This does not wear for the "all day" claim that Dior insists upon, instead it hangs around for about 4 hours. It is sufficiently moisturizing, but I wouldn't say it will go as far as a traditional balm. The feel on the lips is slightly sticky at first, but it soon dissolves into an emollient shine. It truly is pretty, and easy!

This product made my bare lips look flawless! This is one simple swipe of the Lip Glow and it turned my more dusky pigmented lips into a pretty rose color instantly. It was so cool! My lips look hydrated and slightly plumper. This is a product that you can carry around with you and always know you will look polished but not too overdone with.

If you are a Dior fan, a fan of color-changing products, or are looking for a low-maintenance lip color, Lip Glow is for you!

Price: 6/10
Performance: 8/10

Color/Wearability: 10/10
Packaging: 10/10
Overall Quality: 9/10

Total: 43/50 = B = Pleased Panda

Honestly, the sheer expense of this for what it does hurt the overall score, but I still think it is a great product if you can afford it! Or as a treat!

Have you tried the Lip Glow?

Dior Makes The Best Gift: Riviera Swatches and Review

Tis the season! I wouldn't have my hands on this lovely little coral delight if it weren't for one of my tutees.

All semester this particular student always expressed to me "Margo, you always have a new nail polish on every time I see you!" Low and behold she showed up to our last session with a beautifully wrapped Nordies box and this inside. I almost died right then of happiness. Dior Riviera

I am loving this on my nails right now, especially since it is the holiday season and everyone is sporting traditional reds. This coral brightens my skin and makes me happy!

I have my first Dior polish!! Happy girl over here!

(Excuse the tip wear, I've had this on for several days) This is a generic staple that every girl should have in their nail polish wardrobe. And yes it is dupeable, but it is DIOR people.

Oh no, an obsession has begun.

The flow on this is excellent, it is fast drying and this is what it looks like after a hearty 5 days. Minor tip wear, no chips.

Final Thoughts: Dior polishes run around $23 making this the perfect splurge for the nail polish lover in your life that may not treat herself to a Dior. I was certainly thrilled. Thanks to my new friend for the treat!

Price:  6/10 (but it was free for me...so I can't really comment)

Staying Power: 9/10

Packaging: 10/10

Color/Wearability: 10/10

Quality/Branding: 10/10

Total: 45/50 = A- = Panda has a Dior and I don't care!!

Do you have Dior polishes? Give me suggestions on ones you love!

xoxo PrettyPanda
