#28daysoflippies Week Two: Instagram Round-up Pink Week!

#28daysoflippies is half over...and this week is red week! But take a look at the pinks that made my final cut!

28 days of lippies

From sheer and baby, to bold and hot, my pink lippies took over my life for Valentine's day week!

Pink Lippies:

NYX Glam Aqua Luxe in Essential $6: Super shimmery and fun for a night out.

Lóreal Colour Riche in Blushing Sequin $8: Sheer watermelon with a shiny finish.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss $5: Mauve pink with lots of glitter.

Beautifully Disney Spell Breaker $15: True cream bubblegum pink.

POP Beauty Plump Pout Fuschia Freesia $16: Luxurious on lips and a beautiful raspberry---smells a bit weird though but it doesn't linger.

Urban Decay Revolution in Anarchy $22: Creamy and in your face hot pink.

Too Faced La Créme in Jelly Bean $22: Raspberry with a comfortable wear and pretty sheen.

There is hopefully something for everyone across the board here! Let me know if you have tried any of these!

February Ipsy Glambag: The Look of Love

Just a quick post about my new Ipsy bag for the month of February. It is called "The Look of Love" and there was definitely a Valentine's Day theme to it.

Sorry the pictures are awful---I took them quickly because I wanted to tear into it so badly!

So, what did I get? And the value?

J.Cat Beauty Lashes: Retail $3.99. Decent lashes to play/practice with.

Skyn ICELAND Fresh Start Mask with Ice Age Mud: Burned the living hell out of my skin but thankfully left no damage. My skin felt amazing after, just not pleasant at all during. Retail value $7. The full size includes 6 packs like the one you see above for $39...wow...that is pricey!!

Zoya Nail Polish in Dot: Pretty light pink. Retail Value is $9.

Tini Beauty Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow + Base In One in Violette: Retail value $18. This is full size. Pretty amazing.

POP Beauty Plump Pout Mini is Fuschia Freesia: Retail Value: About $8 since this is a half size of the original.

Total Bag Value: 45.99. SCORE.

I really love the Zoya and POP brands in this bag. There were also some other awesome brands this month like Mally!

I loved everything but the face mask, so I am pretty happy. What did you get this month?

Hey British Pandas! (and all other Pandas as well)

In honor of the past Diamond Jubilee weekend, I have a fun palette that I want to review for you.

It is the I <3 Britpop palette by POP Beauty. It retails for $10, and if you know me, you know I kind of need anything with a Union Jack on it, so I hunted this down and ordered it off of Nordstrom.com. Yay for free shipping!

This palette comes with 12 small eye shadows, all of which are neutrals. I would go so far as to say this is POP's entry into the 'Naked' palette realm. They are mostly warm toned shadows and the packaging is magnetic and has a mirror.

It bothers me to no end that the shadows are placed crookedly in there. They seem to be removable if you so choose to place them in new homes.

These are the first four (and darkest) shadows in the palette. From left to right: A dark sparkly brown, a matte dark brown, a light golden shimmer, and a sparkly dark orange.

As you can see from the swatches, the sparkly brown is decent, the matte is horrible, but I do like the gold and the orange. Very pigmented and creamy.

I feel as if every matte I try lately is a major disappointment!

From left to right: a brown with red and silver shimmer, a muted sparkly grey, a shimmery taupe, and a matte ivory.

The brown is TO DIE FOR. It is the perfect crease color. The sparkly grey actually swatches as a golden grey. The taupe is nearly invisible even after I pack it on and the matte ivory is pretty terrible too.

Ah these are so crooked. From left to right: A dusty peach shimmer, a light pink shimmer, a nude shimmer, and a matte cream.

These last four did pretty well. The peach is nice. The pink is very frosty but opaque in one swipe, the nude is very loose but swatches well and the matte is okay-- the best performing matte in the set.

Final Thoughts: Pretty good palette. I love the look of it, and every one could use some neutral shadows.

Price: 10/10
Staying Power: 8/10
Packaging: 10/10
Color/Wearability: 7/10
Quality/Branding: 8/10

Total: 43/50 = B = Pretty Panda

I know we all have a ton of neutrals -- but do you see any in here that you like?
