NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss: Chandelier Swatches and Review

Hi Pandas! I know I have reviewed quite a few of the NYX Mega Shine glosses, but here is another, just for eye candy, if nothing else!

What I love about these glosses is that they are cheap ($4.99), come in a range of colors with super cure packaging, are not sticky, and are cruelty-free. However, if glitter is not your thing, look, but do not touch Chandelier.

Honestly, the smell of this is heavenly---it smells like Juicy Fruit gum, which I love! Chandelier is a bright pink bordering on Hot Pink sheer gloss with plenty of silver and pink sparkle.

Here is Chandelier taken with a flash. It really is very sheer and is a great layering gloss. Wear time is about 3 and a half hours.

This is a very dupeable color and finish, and you might already have something like it in your stash, but if you don't, this is the best bargain on the market! I find it very flattering and fresh.

Overall, I recommend these glosses. I reach for them constantly and always stash them in my purse.

Price: 10/10
Performance: 8/10
Color/Wearability: 10/10
Packaging: 10/10
Overall Quality: 9/10

Total: 47/50 = A = Happy Panda!

What do you think of Chandelier? Loving or leaving it?

Polish, Pages, and Pretties: Zoya PixieDust in Godiva

Happy Polish, Pages, and Pretties Day Pandas! Whew, that was a lot of 'P' words!

I am so excited to show off the new PixieDust formula!

Here is two coats of the new Zoya PixieDust formula in Godiva holding an awesome book-- The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan.

I have been wanting to get my hands on one of these in a while and the best way I can describe it is like champagne bubbles! This is such a pretty beige/neutral with the PixieDust finish which basically looks like you are wearing sparkling very fine sand on your nails.

Do not put a top coat on this if you want to see the effect! However, it does look pretty with one as well. It may be counter-intuitive to not finish with a top coat, but trust me the results are worth it.

I like the PixieDust formula a little bit more than O.P.I's liquid sand because it has more sparkly and feels less rough on the fingers. This retails for $8 at Ulta and comes in a few more gorgeous shades.

Now, about this book! I wanted to take pictures of this particular polish with this book because these nails are a edgy take on the classic neutral, just as this book came along and fought against the 50's housewife stigma. I think everyone should read it...but if you aren't interested, at least you have physically seen it so now you know what they are talking about in "Ten Things I Hate About You" haha :)

Hope you liked this weeks polish. Have you read the book? Let me know!

O.P.I Goldeneye Can Jazz Up Any Manicure

Continuing with the O.P.I Bond polishes, I decided to swatch Goldeneye over my existing manicure of Skyfall to see how they would look together.

I was a little nervous to swatch this alone, because usually glitters suspended in a clear base prove problematic and need multiple coats. Not so with Goldeneye!

I did one thick coat on my ring finger and you can see it is fairly opaque. Because the glitter is so fine, it covers nicely. This is a very thin polish and the formula glides nicely. No chunkiness that can come from glitters. This is honestly like fairy dust on my nails!

I know the O.P.I Bond line also released the Goldfinger Real Gold Topcoat, but this works to give your digits a 24 karat shine, so in my opinion--this is the poor girls' version at only $8.50.

I can see this over any color or alone. This is a great topper and layering polish if you want something festive and over-the-top glitzy for the holidays.

Panda Approved!

NYX Aqua Shimmer Eye Pencil

Hey!

Summer is all about ocean tones. I love wearing them on nails and eyes for a pop of color that doesn't look too 80's or over-done if you stick to something darker and not frosty!

NYX eye pencil in 'Aqua Shimmer' fits the bill! It is a medium toned ocean blue with lots of silver sparkle.

You can see all the pretty glitter in the tip of the pencil. For $5, this is something that can be in your make-up wardrobe throughout the year.

The color is nice and opaque with one pass and the glitter gets caught up in the pigment and sandwiched in there to prevent fall out and it turns a pretty light blue shade. Nifty!

NYX products are always reliable, of good quality, and are cheap enough to try out a fun color like this without breaking the bank.

Final Thoughts: Add some splash to your summer make-up routine with this fun pencil!

Price: 10/10
Staying Power: 9/10
Packaging: 8/10
Color/Wearability: 10/10
Quality/Branding: 10/10

Total: 47/50 = A = Pandamonium!
