Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Peony

I was gifted this Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Peony by my mother when she decided she hated it. One woman's miss is another's hit? I hoped so.

I had been interested in these since they appeared on shelves, but never really made the jump. Melted Peony ($21) is not a shade I would have chosen for myself, but I did think it was pretty and decided to try it out.

This is a true liquid lipstick and I was impressed with the opacity and coverage. The velvet tip for application is a nice touch and it has a slightly sweet but unidentifiable scent to it. Melted Peony is a medium pink and it looks slightly cool toned on my pale skin.

This is easy to apply, but I did not care for the formula. It almost feels greasy and a bit too slick on my lips and never really dried down enough to leave a stain behind on my lips. It wore for about 4 hours before fading slightly but just wasn't comfortable on me because I always felt something was on my lips.

I know many love this formula and I adore the shade range, but unfortunately, this was a miss for me. I can see how the texture of this shade can be appreciated, but there are many other formulas I like better. However, this color is so pretty that I wear it often, even if I dislike the texture. If you haven't tried one, give it a shot, as it seems to work for many others, but this is a very different feeling on the lips.

Lancôme Lip Lover in Orange Manége: Swatches and Review

The Lancôme Lip Lover's are fairly new, but I have had mine for a few months, somehow forgot to review it, and realized today that I have been taking it everywhere with me. Regardless of my fascination with it, I still have mixed feelings.

Lancome Lip Lover Orange Manege

The shade that I purchased at Nordstrom is called Orange Manége ($23). This was during another shopping adventure with my momma (can you tell we are best buds yet?) and she opted for Beige Adage, which was pretty, but a bit too neutral for me. (FYI my friend Meesha over at Strawberry Hearts Chocolate Darts just posted a bunch of swatches, including Beige Adage and Orange Manége, if you want to view them on a different skin tone!!)

I was captivated by the name. I mean, it has orange in it, right? And orange is the perfect summer color---it is everywhere right now and I did not have many oranges in my lip wardrobe. I swatched it in store, and the swatch was rather orange.

I fell in love and snapped it up. On my lips, however, it isn't quite as orange, and is instead a pretty rosy coral. I still love it, but I just wish it had more of a pop to it. Lancôme says these are long lasting, but they only last about 2 hours on my lips. They also claim they are 'Dewy Intense Lip Color'. Dewy--totally. My lips feel great when wearing this, which is probably why it hasn't left my purse, but intense? Look somewhere else if you want a full color gloss or liquid lipstick.

Lancome Lip Lover Orange Manege

These are completely non-sticky and I love that the brush is long and flexible, with a little tip to make sure application is a breeze. And the packaging? Lancôme classy at its finest. I love the little click mechanism...it makes me feel so chic!

Now, do you wanna see it on? I thought so!

I love how dewy and fresh it makes my lips look, and there is a slight shimmer that you can see on my bottom lip. Is it a showstopper of a color? Not really...but it is great for everyday wear.

Mally Beauty High Shine Liquid Lipstick

In honor of Mally Beauty coming to Ulta...I thought I would show you some of my favorite shades of her High Shine Liquid Lipstick.

I am just going to put this out there...I love Mally. I love that she uses made up words like Gorgois. I love her cuteness and personality...and I love her products. Because, come on, who doesn't want to be bulletproof all day, every day?

This is why I love her high shine liquid lipstick ($20 but you can often find them in sets), that are set up like the iconic Stila lip glazes, but are, in my opinion, much better.

Above are my four favorite shades: sweet berry (a dark cream berry oxblood), supernatural (the easiest sparkly nude shade), heartbreaker (a bright watermelon pink) and starburst ( a flesh toned shimmer glaze).

These really do stick around on the lips...like seriously last and last! Go Mally!

Sweet Berry is so pretty because it has a ton of glossiness, but a very pretty and not overdone oxblood color.

Supernatural kinda looks like a pretty peachy galaxy on my lips. The perfect everyday shade.

Heartbreaker is the bold, funky shade of the group, and is such a juicy hot pink shade.

Starburst is like Supernatural's baby sister, but is perfect for a neutral makeup day.

If you are going to invest in a Mally High Shine Liquid Lipstick, go for one of these shades. They are a teeny bit sticky, but last half the day at least--bulletproof, seriously, smell amazing, and feel great on the lips.

Are you a Mally-nista?
