LUSH Cupcake Fresh Face Mask Review

I love Lush cosmetics, but there isn't a store close by to me so that I can indulge on a regular basis. However, when I was in the area of one, I picked up one of their fresh face masks. I had never tried them before and I really wanted to pamper my skin.

Side note, sorry I haven't been posting as much lately, it has been a crazy week. I had a birthday! And lots of other things have been going on, but I do have a lot of great products waiting in the wings!

This is the Lush Cupcake Fresh Face Mask. It retails for $6.99 and you need to keep it in the fridge. They last about 3 weeks (the expiration date is on the back) and you get about 6/7 masks out of it. The cupcake mask is for oily skin, which is perfect for me!

This has cocoa powder to calm skin and soften it. Spearmint gives a wonderful tingle and acts as a mild astringent and it also has sandalwood. They are the freshest things in the store and are really great for your skin.

Take a nice sized glob of the mask and spread it on your face. Leave on for ten minutes and rinse with warm water. Pretty simple, just like any other mask. I like that since it has just been in the fridge, it is really cooling. Cupcake smells LOVELY and looks like brownie batter (it also has that consistency, so it feels like you are rubbing batter onto your face). It does a great job of calming down acne flare ups, softening, and taking away excess oil

Overall, I am really happy with this mask. It isn't cheap, but doesn't break the bank for a special treat for your face. You get a lot of uses out of it, it smells amazing, and actually improved my skin. Even if you do not have oily skin, this is a good mask for cooling down in the summer and calming redness.

Price: 8/10
Performance: 10/10
Color/Wearability: N/A
Packaging: 10/10 Recyclable!! And you can bring back 5 tubs to get a free mask!
Overall Quality: 10/10

Total: 38/40 = A+ = PANDAMONIUM

I am really happy with this mask. Have you tried a Lush fresh face mask? Thoughts?

Let Them Eat Cake

Another NYX Love in Paris palette! I adore these! So, merci NYX for making them!

This is the NYX Love in Paris palette in Let Them Eat Cake which features a range of pinks and browns, clearly inspired by Marie Antoinette and her confectionery phrase. Adorable and affordable at $10. Also cruelty-free!

I love the sleek design of these palettes, making them easy to store and stack, and the see-through casing allows you to glance at the shadows quickly. And how I do love the names! This is adorable and I love how they are color coordinated. These shadows all go together, and wear beautifully for hours.

The shades: (from top left to bottom right) A matte chocolate brown, a sparkly burnt orange, a pale dusty pink, a matte cream, a shimmery coral sorbet, sparkly dark chocolate, matte light brown, bubblegum pink, and matte light pink.

I tried to cram all the swatches together. They are nice on the hand but better on the eye. Not the best pigmentation, but impressive for the colors and the price. The palettes also include a double ended sponge brush. Not amazing, but useful on the go.

Let Them Eat Cake is a great warm-toned pink and brown palette to make you feel sugary and sweet. Love it! Very wearable.

Price: 9/10
Performance: 9/10
Color/Wearability: 910
Packaging: 10/10
Overall Quality: 9/10

Total: 46/50 = A- = Happy Panda

So what do you think? Let Them Eat Cake? Or not so much?

NYX Collection Chocolate: Liquid Brown Liner

A while ago, NYX came out with a collection Noir, which featured all types of black liners. They are at it again with everything in a rich chocolate hue. So of course, I had to check out the liquid offering!

NYX Collection Chocolate Liquid Brown liner. It retails for $7.99 and can be found at Ulta or any other stores that carry NYX. This truly is like liquid chocolate. I love it!

As you can see, it looks like I wrote PrettyPanda in chocolate! This is for anyone who wants a good liquid liner but wants something more natural than black. It is very shiny, dries quickly and has a really thin brush. You can get a crazy thin line or build it up for more drama. It comes off in chunks when time to remove, but wears all day.

I never thought I would be a fan of brown liner, but this is gorgeous! Ignore my totally naked lashes!

Brown looks good with brown eyes too!

The quality is here! For a good staple in your collection, check this out. If liquid is not your favorite liner medium, they have matte and regular pencils as well as khol.

Price: 9/10
Performance: 9/10
Color/Wearability: 10/10
Packaging: 10/10
Overall Quality: 9/10

Total:  47/50 = A = Pretty Panda!

Maybelline Master Duo Liquid Liner in Bronzed Shimmer: Swatches and Review

Innovations in eyeliner are always interesting! A girl can never have enough eyeliner!

Maybelline Master Duo eyeliner by EyeStudio in Bronzed Shimmer #525 is one of those new innovations. It has a unique tip that is shaped like a little circle so it can make a thick line, or a thin line if turned on it's side. It has a glossy finish and retails for $8.

See the cute tiny little circle? Place that flat on your eyelid to draw a thick, mod, line. Then, twist your wrist and flick out your cat-eye with the thin side!

If you don't want to shell out money for two different eyeliners, this is the product for you. I like the bronze color idea, but in reality it is more of a chocolate and the shimmer translates as more of a wet look. This isn't very highly pigmented either, but it doesn't flake and lasts well on the lashline once dried.

The dual felt tip applicator is cool but not revolutionary or totally necessary. However, it will save time on busy mornings. I would suggest trying a different color if you choose to purchase, as the brown doesn't have a lot of drama to it.

Price: 9/10

Performance: 10/10

Color/Wearability: 6/10

Packaging: 10/10

Overall Quality: 8/10

Total: 43/50 = B = Meh Panda

Do you think this is cool or gimmicky?
