Love & Toast Lip Glaze in Crush Rush

Sometimes, a little extra that you add to your online cart at Ulta to push you over into free shipping turns out to be one of the best things to ever happen to you.

Love & Toast Lip Glaze in Crush Rush swatches and review
Love & Toast Lip Glaze in Crush Rush ($6.99) and other gorgeous shades is an online only lip gloss that I decided to add to an order to bump me into free shipping range. I was attracted to the coral pink color and the cute packaging and just hoped for the best from this little extra.

This is a squeeze tube type product and the hole is a bit wide, so be careful when applying because it tends to give you a bit too much product. The formula is lovely---not sticky at all, moisturizing, and easy to wear.

It has a ton of amazing ingredients as well:

Olea eurpea (Olive) Fruit Juice, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Butyrospemum Parkii (Shea Butler), Fruit, Theoborma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butler, Natural Flavor, Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, aloe Barbenensis (Aloe) Leaf, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) and Stevia Rebadiana Leaf.

The multi-dimensional gold shimmer in the coral base is so pretty! I wish there was a nail polish color like this!!

This is a gloss I have found myself carrying around everywhere. It looks gorgeous layered or on its own and the shimmer is just enough to light up your face without being too teenager-y.

The only thing that could make this little steal better is if it had SPF!

If you are looking for a little extra, try the Love & Toast glosses. I normally dislike 'online only' products because its hard to not have swatches or be able to see them/play with them, but I was lucky to have found a winner here!

Mally Beauty High Shine Liquid Lipstick

In honor of Mally Beauty coming to Ulta...I thought I would show you some of my favorite shades of her High Shine Liquid Lipstick.

I am just going to put this out there...I love Mally. I love that she uses made up words like Gorgois. I love her cuteness and personality...and I love her products. Because, come on, who doesn't want to be bulletproof all day, every day?

This is why I love her high shine liquid lipstick ($20 but you can often find them in sets), that are set up like the iconic Stila lip glazes, but are, in my opinion, much better.

Above are my four favorite shades: sweet berry (a dark cream berry oxblood), supernatural (the easiest sparkly nude shade), heartbreaker (a bright watermelon pink) and starburst ( a flesh toned shimmer glaze).

These really do stick around on the lips...like seriously last and last! Go Mally!

Sweet Berry is so pretty because it has a ton of glossiness, but a very pretty and not overdone oxblood color.

Supernatural kinda looks like a pretty peachy galaxy on my lips. The perfect everyday shade.

Heartbreaker is the bold, funky shade of the group, and is such a juicy hot pink shade.

Starburst is like Supernatural's baby sister, but is perfect for a neutral makeup day.

If you are going to invest in a Mally High Shine Liquid Lipstick, go for one of these shades. They are a teeny bit sticky, but last half the day at least--bulletproof, seriously, smell amazing, and feel great on the lips.

Are you a Mally-nista?

NYX Glam Lipstick Aqua Luxe in Essential

I am a lipstick hoarder. The first step is admitting it right?

And since Ulta is having 40 % off of NYX, Revlon, Physicians Formula and Almay this week, you should totally check out what I am about to show you, as the discount knocks the price down on this baby to around $3.

This is the new NYX Lipstick in the formula Glam Aqua Luxe in the shade Essential which is a vibrant fuchsia with purple shimmer. This is super sparkly, and is a member of the Aqua Luxe family (those glosses I recently raved about) pair nicely with this. Normally just under $5, this is currently on sale for just under $3.

The only thing I am not a fan about with this lipstick is the packaging. It looks cool from the outside to see the strip of color, but it feels too easy to open (I am scared to put this in a purse) and the plastic part looks a little cheap. I know this is bargain makeup, but NYX usually does just fine.

This color is not for the faint of heart. This is a show stopping color, and when I put it on my lips, I was shocked at how sparkly, shimmery, and fierce it is. If you like glitter, this is for you. Not really work appropriate, so this is a bit frivolous. The wear on this is a good 4 hours, and feels featherlight on the lips, and actually decently moisturizing. It does leave a host of glitter particles behind though, so beware.

This is not a thick or goopy lipstick and is fun and easy to wear. I do suggest applying with a lip brush because the glitter migrates outside of lines (or use a liner or primer).

Overall, this is a really fun addition to a makeup maven's beauty wardrobe. I would not suggest it for everyone, as this is a fun and funky item, but for $3 this week, why not try one? They come in a bunch of different colors, so get your glitter on! Not the best, but something new and different.

Price: 10/10
Performance: 8/10
Color/Wearability: 7/10
Packaging: 7/10
Overall Quality: 8/10

Total: 40/50 = B- = Meh Panda (BUT GLITTER)

Have you tried these? They would have fared so much better without the bad packaging. Are you a fan of sparkly, in your face lipsticks, or do you prefer neutrals?

Franken Tuesday: Who's That Girl?

Hey everyone! Welcome back to another addition of Franken Tuesday!

This franken will be making everyone say..."Who's That Girl?"

If you haven't guessed, this week's franken was inspired by Jess from New Girl, played by the lovely and kooky Zooey Deschanel.

To make this franken, I combined all different colors to create a rainbow theme quirky enough to work with Jess' crazy personality.

I combined matte pink square glitter, small yellow round glitter, very small green square glitter, fine purple glitter, red hex glitter and blue heart glitter!

Here you can see the pretty blue hearts! (Pardon my terrible cuticles, I just cut my nails down to nubs and the elmer's glue method for glitterbombs kinda dries them out)

I love how this turned out. It was really easy to work with, and it layered so nicely. This is three coats on top of a glue base on bare nails.

For the mani, I used Ulta's Sun-Sational on my ring fingers. This is a very spring-y and Jess-ish manicure for the week!

What do you think? Love or hate?
