Rimmel Stay Glossy 3D in Lights, Camera, Action: Swatches and Review

The Rimmel Stay Glossy formula has been around forever, but for summer they kicked it up a notch with Stay Glossy 3D! 

 The 3D formula has holographic glitter in a semi-sheer base to make your lips really stand out and look extra luscious, and for $5, how can you top that? 

 

I am really digging the wand on this thing. It is extra long and it picks up a nice amount of the gloss. There is a light rose scent to the gloss (as with most of Rimmel's lip products) but it doesn't bother me.

 

 

Here is a swatch of Lights, Camera, Action by sunlight so you can see the dense shimmer. It is a pale peach base and is really pretty.

 

 

And here is the same swatch in artificial light. If you are looking for crazy intense pigment, you won't find it here, but if you are looking for shine, this has it in spades.

 

 

Although it doesn't lend much color to my lips, it makes them look fuller and very glossy. I love the texture of this gloss as it sticks around for 4 hours (2 less on me than their claim) but never feels tacky. This is also a great layering gloss to amp up any lipstick.

NYX Glam Gloss Aqua Luxe in V.I.P: Swatch and Review

I have already told you guys about how much I love this gloss...so I have another color to show you!

 

This color is V.I.P, and it is more muted, with a beige/light pink/gold sparkle to it. The gold glitter is most prominent on lips and would look good over both nude and red lipsticks.

 

What I love about this gloss is the formula. Not-sticky, long-lasting, and super glossy. The applicator is flat and wide, so you can get everything in one swipe. Although the other shade smelled delicious, this shade has no smell. Interesting.

 

 

This alone is a very easy, wearable, and low maintenance lip that I love!

NYX Glam Gloss Aqua Luxe in V.I.P: Swatch and Review

I have already told you guys about how much I love this gloss...so I have another color to show you!

NYX Lip Look: Nude Pink and Creme Brulee

This lip look stems from my search for a nude lipliner and gloss. As you will see, I was deceived by the products I picked up, but I ended up loving the look I was able to create!

 

 

I wanted to find a nude lip liner to go under my new MAC Archie girl lipglass, so I picked up NYX retractable lip liner in Nude Pink. Nude Pink...

 

 

This was my first time trying a NYX retractable liner. For under $5, these are a steal. They last really long and are waterproof, so you need actual makeup remover to get it off! The above shot of my lips is ONLY the liner. Very pretty, but not nude at all.

 

 

The retractable nature of the liner saves a sharpener, but it did break off after the first full swatch. It is both too soft and too hard...if that makes sense. It goes on the lips nicely but because it is so small, it is prone to snapping off.

 

 

Instead of being a nude pink, this is a pretty magenta with gold glitter. I love the color, but I am still on the hunt for a nude liner.

 

 

I then layered the liner with my new NYX Butter Gloss. These are new to their Spring line. The color I picked up was Creme Brulee which is a nude pink. It is $5 and is supposed to melt on lips. This is a good gloss but it doesn't melt into lips like a balm. This is sticky. Not MAC sticky but tacky. It lasted about 3 hours.

 

 

This is a very sheer gloss and it smells like cotton candy!

 

 

 

This is the final effect! NYX Nude Pink liner layered with NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee. A fun look that lasted a good 4 hours and the liner lingered after. I like how it gives a glossy ombre effect!

First of all, the packaging of this line is to die for. This is for any one who is a fan of Betty, Veronica, or Archie, M.A.C in general, or anyone looking for the hot look of the Spring--mod pink lips.This is surprisingly easy to wear. Swipe on a ton for a super 60's look or sheer out for an easy everyday lip!

 

 

 

As you can see, the gloss is very shiny and opaque, I love the look! For more depth layer it over liner or lipstick.

 

 

Here it is on my lips sheered out. You don't have to go full mod to make this wearable! Lasts about 3 hours.
