Franken Fun: Must Be A Weasley and PineGalaxy Nail Decals

Hey Pandas! You may remember that a while ago, I started to do 'Franken Tuesdays' to show off my handmade Franken Polishes. But, now that I am not keen on keeping a schedule for that, and have my very own nail blog that will soon start to handle all of my nail posts (Impressionist Nails) I have decided to call these posts Franken Fun! and they will be showcased here and in detail on my nail blog.

I am actually really excited about this franken, mostly because it is named after some of my favorite people in Harry Potter (and we all know how much I like Harry Potter...)

'Must Be A Weasley' was inspired by Draco Malfoy's famous line to Ron Weasley, but is a franken that sums up the entire family. You can see it on all of my fingers by the ring (which is Chanel Dragon). It is a jelly red/orange glitterbomb packed with gold, red, and orange glitter. Not only Gryffindor colors, but very 'ginger' as well!

I think they would approve right?

And I do have to mention PineGalaxy's awesome nail decals over on Etsy. On my ring finger is a Gryffindor one, but next time I will use a lighter polish, although I like the tonal quality of it. Her nail decals are so awesome, and she has great customer service!!

To see more photos of this franken, hop on over to Impressionist Nails! And many thanks if you do!

Franken Tuesday: Riddikulus!

Hello Pandas! Here is the last Franken Tuesday before the giveaway is over, but not the last overall!

This week's franken is another Harry Potter inspired polish, specifically dedicated to my favorite Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, one Remus Lupin.

I just really like this picture. Lupin is so cool. Anyway, this polish is on the more subtle side of the spectrum because of the colors used...since Remus really isn't a flashy guy.

I named the polish Riddikulus! because if you are a Potter nerd like I am, that is the spell that will come to mind for you when thinking of Professor Lupin.

This is a very monochromatic polish, made unique by the sizes and shapes of glitter. This has antique gold (so it leans slightly green) hex glitter and bar glitter and moss green small glitter particles. Very woodsy and reminiscent of Lupin's shabby robes, but on black polish gives the feel of stars in the sky, which is apropos for his werewolf side. There is also a sprinkling of black glitter.

I layered this over glitter green polish and the effect was very cool and 3D. Love it!

And if you were dying to know what green polish is the undie, it is from the new Beautifully Disney collection available at Disney Parks. This is from the Ariel set, and is a pretty sparkly green that shifts bright green/yellow. I love it! It is called Ocean Mist, applies so smoothly, and retails for $8.95.

Here is a better picture of it on my thumb, and the cute cap! I love it!

So, what do you think of this week's franken? Are you excited to find out if you won the make-your-own-franken contest? Better get your ideas flowing!

If you haven't yet entered, hurry up! Do it HERE

Good luck!

Franken Tuesday: Lady Sybil Branson

Happy Franken Tuesday...almost made it...still Tuesday here!

Back to Downton Abbey! I am having major withdrawals, but here is a polish to try and get us all out of that funk. This is called Lady Sybil Branson.

And here is the darling couple. I love that Lady Sybil is so different from her sisters. She has a big heart and knows that love is love, no matter who it is between.

I put two coats of this glitter on my ring and middle fingers with two coats of Sally Hansen Pink Satin (a metallic purple/rose) on ever other finger.

This is really not a complex polish. Very tiny lilac/rose glitter and larger teal hex glitter make up a fun, girly, but decidedly different polish fit for Sybil.

I love the way this looks!! So adorable. I am just loving the glitter bombs. Always remember the pvc glue method or risk scrubbing forever!

Only 2 more frankens left and the contest is ending soon. Enter Enter ENTER

I promise you won't be sorry!!

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!

Franken Tuesday: Mrs. Malfoy

Welcome back to Franken Tuesday, on the normally scheduled day. I am so excited for today's polish because a lot of you have been looking forward to it, and I have to say it is one of my favorites (but I say that every week so don't trust me...)

This is Mrs. Malfoy, a polish inspired by the amazing Narcissa Malfoy...who (in my humble opinion) never got enough book/screen time and always gets overlooked. I will go on my rant later...but now, pictures!

This is three coats of Mrs. Malfoy on my pinkie, ring (and thumb) and two coats of L'Oreal's The Queen's Ambition (and amazing black with silver sparkle) on my index and middle fingers. I wanted to mix textures and have a black polish as part of my mani to really create a total Narcissa look.

I totally glitter-bombed my fingers with this polish, but it layered nicely. It is made up of emerald green square glitter, black hex glitter, and silver hex glitter in a grey jelly base. Dangerous, classy, and chic like Narcissa. And of course, an homage to Slytherin fit for one of the Slytherin queens.

It is so pretty in the bottle and I love looking at it on my polish vanity.

And here is the inspiration for the polish. I mean, how flawless is she? (Helen McCrory is amazing). Now for my rant. She takes amazing care of her son, and is loyal to her husband even though he's kinda not that great (but Jason Isaacs...that is another story all together for me) and she pretty much saves Harry's life. Let us not forget.

Here is the polish in flash. I love it! It makes me feel so edgy. And like a Slytherin (although I am actually a Ravenclaw...don't hate).

And here is the polish in action...with my wand (this is Ginny's but I am lemming for Narcissa's).

What do you think of this weeks' polish?

Love it? Enter for a chance to win your own!!

I am giving away 5 custom made polishes. 15 ish days left!

Happy Tuesday Pandas!
