Revlon Lacquer Balm in Enticing

Okay, despite the mixed reviews of this product from fellow blogging friends...I caved and bought the new Revlon Lacquer Balm in Enticing ($7).What? It was red...and shiny...and reminded me of Christmas. Guilty as charged.

I just couldn't resist the pretty display, and I chose Enticing, which I thought would look like the outside packaging.But in fact, it is much more subdued.

I like the way this smells/tastes. Kinda minty (think the Tarte lip crayons) and it feels nice going on the lips.

The red, however, is not very lacquer-ish or shiny. This is a plain ol' lip balm crayon in a subdued red. I am very sad the shimmer didn't translate well to the lip and I was hoping for a wow-finish (against my better sense, of course).

Oh Enticing, how you look so pretty and yet, very different from my expectations. 
But this isn't necessarily a bad thing!I am thinking this would be a good base for a lip gloss of a similar color...or maybe I can try it as a cheek stain? It slips around a little bit on my lips (making the wear 2 hours or less), but I do like the moisturizing feel.I recommend Enticing if you do not have something similar in your stash! Anyone else love/hate these?

NYX Glam Gloss Aqua Luxe in V.I.P: Swatch and Review

I have already told you guys about how much I love this gloss...so I have another color to show you!

 

This color is V.I.P, and it is more muted, with a beige/light pink/gold sparkle to it. The gold glitter is most prominent on lips and would look good over both nude and red lipsticks.

 

What I love about this gloss is the formula. Not-sticky, long-lasting, and super glossy. The applicator is flat and wide, so you can get everything in one swipe. Although the other shade smelled delicious, this shade has no smell. Interesting.

 

 

This alone is a very easy, wearable, and low maintenance lip that I love!

NYX Glam Gloss Aqua Luxe in V.I.P: Swatch and Review

I have already told you guys about how much I love this gloss...so I have another color to show you!

 

This color is V.I.P, and it is more muted, with a beige/light pink/gold sparkle to it. The gold glitter is most prominent on lips and would look good over both nude and red lipsticks.

 

What I love about this gloss is the formula. Not-sticky, long-lasting, and super glossy. The applicator is flat and wide, so you can get everything in one swipe. Although the other shade smelled delicious, this shade has no smell. Interesting.

 

 

This alone is a very easy, wearable, and low maintenance lip that I love!

Khroma Beauty: Khloé's Kardazzle

So, I am a sucker for little palettes and since I already have Kim's which you can see here, I decided to complete my set. Here is Khloé's.

 

 

Her set is a gold toned case with warm-toned neutral shadows to create her signature look. To me, Khloé is very leopard. Like she just reminds me of leopard everything. Not that that is a good thing...just an observation.

 

 

At first glance this is a really nice palette. They retail for $12.99 and you get 8 shadows, 1 blush, 1 bronzer, and 1 highlighter. Not bad.

 

 

There are no swatches of the top row of shadows. They are matte and even after multiple passes, they are a total loss. Basically invisible. At least the bottom row is a stunner! There is a light gold, a medium gold, a bronzey orange, and a dark shimmery brown. All very soft and pigmented. Love!

 

 

The face products are decent. The blush is a bright coral, the bronzer a light brown and I am pretty sure the highlighter is the same in all three Kardazzles. But still pretty.

 

 

I am in love with the sparkly shadows. So good! But the mattes are a waste and the face products are okay. So that rounds out to about 4 dollars for each shadow. Okay...

This is a good Vegas palette or something similar. Because you will get a very glowly, clubby look.

Overall Quality: 7/10

Essence Breaking Dawn Part 2 Collection: Edward and Bella

The last products from the Essence Breaking Dawn Part 2 Collection all have to do with Edward and Bella and their love. Adorable, or sickening; whichever you prefer, these are pretty!

First up is A Piece of Forever lipstick.

 

I just love how it looks in it's cute, overly glittery bullet. Call me a sucker for glitter. This retails for $2.99 and can be found at Ulta.

 

This is a layering lipstick, absolutely. It is so sheer but it gives a pretty gold sheen to the lips when worn alone and can amplify a holiday red. Decent wear time (about 2 hours) and no weird smell or taste.

Next up are the loose pigments in A Piece of Forever and Edward's Love:

 

I think these are really fun products and a great addition to the mini collection. They can be used as eyeshadow, as highlight, in nail polish...anything! A Piece of Forever follows the gold sparkly theme of the previous lipstick and Edward's Love is a blackened base with pink, blue, and silver glitter. Both are $3.49.

 

They come in little sifter jars, and are a bit messy, but I think they are worth it. Use them wet over primer for the highest opacity--but be warned, these are pure glitter!!

 

They won't hold an eye look alone, but they are a nice glittery finisher if you want to look like Bella or Edward...I guess :)

 

A Piece of Forever is so much easier to work with, as Edward's Love has a lot of fallout. That is not intended to be a pun.

Shimmer Powder in Bella's Secret

 

I am really not sure what Bella's Secret is at this point. I mean...she had the baby...BUT, this is one of the prettiest things I bought...and also the most expensive--topping out at $5.99.

Worth it? Yes.

 

This is the perfect holiday highlight to go along with the Renesmee Red blush. Gorgeous and smooth.

 

Is this not to die for? Not for the faint of heart, but shimmery and not glittery at least. We don't literally want to look like Edward and Bella, after all.

Final Thoughts: I won't score everything, but I will say I am mostly pleased with this collection. Out of these products--don't miss out on Bella's Secret though!

Revlon FrenchMix: Over the Moon

Okay, I know...more nails! But I have some makeup posts in the works, so hang tight for those!

My wonderful mom picked this up for me as a treat...so of course I have to blog about it!

 

 

This is the double-sides Revlon Nail Art FrenchMix nail polish in the color "Over the Moon" which is a teal cream and a light pink with iridescent sparkle.

 

 

These retail for a $8 and change, but if you think about it--it's a good deal because you essentially get two polishes! The packaging is a little daunting, but I think it works out, and saves space!

 

 

I suppose you can do the french manicure the other way around, but I chose the more traditional, albeit funky, way. Here is one coat of the pink with the teal tips. Finished off with a coat of Seche.

 

 

I liked that the brushes on both ends were small enough to create the french tips without any tip guides. This was the easiest french manicure I've ever tried. And it turned out really funk and cool! Thanks Revlon! And Mom :)

 

Final Thoughts: These come in a range of fun colors and are really easy to use!
