A England: Dorian Gray

I have been wanting to try A England nail polish for a while now. And then I discovered Llarowe and all of my problems were solved.

I was able to pick up this beauty: A England's 'Dorian Gray'

This is a rich slate grey and named after one of my favorite books. These polishes have quite a cult following and I daresay it is warranted!

The formula is perfect, not too thick or thin and nearly opaque in one coat. I did two to be safe, but if in a hurry just one works fine. I love the light grey shimmer to this polish and the sturdy glass bottle.

I have dubbed this my 'get to studying!' polish (hence the notebook paper background) because grey calms me and this formula has not chipped on me for days and days now...so I have no excuses to distract myself from homework with changing my polish.

I love the back label and pretty much everything else about this polish! Including the price! $10.

Final Thoughts: If you haven't gotten your hands on it already, make sure to get Dorian Gray in your life!

Price: 9/10

Staying Power:10/10

Packaging: 10/10

Color/Wearability: 10/10

Quality/Branding: 10/10

Total: 49/50 = A+ = Pandamonium!

L'Oreal "Tea and Crumpets"

The British invasion has officially happened, pandas. Brit inspired cosmetics are everywhere and I, for one, am loving every second of it.

Take L'Oreal's new nail polish collection inspired by the colors hot in London right now.

I picked up two shades, this particular one is called "Tea and Crumpets" which was around $5 and a pretty cool-toned nude that almost has a gray cast to it.

Nude nails are going to be big for fall. They always look classic, but most of the fall nail collections feature some type of nude (O.P.I has 'Don't Pretzel My Buttons' for example).

I do like that there is enough of a contrast on my pale skin so I do not totally look like I have manikin hands. But I kind of find that on pale skin (like mine) it looks a little bit eerie. Like...dead-ish.

I think it is because of the gray tinge. But I happen to like the look. It is just 'off' enough to be cool, you know? And Halloween is my favorite holiday anyway, so I love all things creepy. The formula on this is great, flows well and covers in two coats. Dry time is shorter than average.

Final Thoughts: An interesting take on a nude with a fun name.

Price: 9/10
Staying Power: 10/10
Packaging: 9/10
Color/Wearability: 8/10
Quality/Branding: 10/10

Total: 46/50 = A- = Happy Panda

I like this color, but it may look too much like putty on some tones. What do you guys think?
