Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in Nude

Everyone loves these, and I have seen them on a number of my favorite blogs, so I had to pick it up!

This is Rimmel's Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal liner in Nude. They came out along with the Scandaleyes shadow sticks and for about $5 they are a great deal and sooo long lasting!

I have never had a nude liner before, but it has changed my life. Use it by your tear duct to look instantly but not artificially awake, fix small imperfections, highlight above brows, line inner eye...do a million things with it! It lasts all day too!

So creamy, so versatile, and so cheap. What is not to love here?

Price: 10/10
Performance: 10/10
Color/Wearability: 10/10
Packaging: 10/10
Overall Quality: 10/10

Total: 50/50 = A+ = Pandamonium!

Go out and get one! Go!

Clinique Chubby Stick in Big Blue

I know I am a little late to the game on these...but I finally got one!

These are the new for Spring 2013 Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes. This lovely light blue is called Big Blue and is a sparkly grey/blue. They retail for $16, are long wearing, and smooth right on the eye without a brush.

The packaging comes in the same color as the shadow, making it easy to find in your makeup drawer and the actual stick is rounded, making it comfy to rub on your eye. It also twists up!

Chubby Sticks are for anyone that is a fan of easy to apply, travel with, and blend eyeshadow in a hurry. I think this is one of the better twist up shadow stick offerings on the market for a reasonable price. This particular shade is for someone who wants to experiment with blues but not something too dark or heavy. It is a light wash of color and can be blended out even more.

Here is one quick (and I mean two strokes) of the chubby stick across my eye. I sheered it out with my finger a bit. Such a pretty wash of color!

With a good primer these last about 8 hours without creasing. For more staying power, layer translucent powder in between layers of color and add two or more to increase the vibrancy. I really love Clinique Chubby Sticks for eyes!

Price: 9/10
Performance: 9/10
Color/Wearability: 9/10
Packaging: 10/10
Overall Quality: 10/10

Total: 47/50 = A = Pretty Panda!

Have you tried the new Chubby Sticks for eyes? Do you have a favorite color?

Franken Tuesday! Lion Hearted Girl

Hello everyone, I am back with another installment of Franken Tuesdays! Can you guess who today's franken was inspired by?

If you guessed the gorgeous, fierce, loyal, brave Gryffindor from the Harry Potter series, you are absolutely right. Hermione is an awesome character that possesses both femininity and strength at the same time, so I wanted to create a polish that embodied that as well as paid homage to her house.

Lion Hearted Girl is a mix of big red hex glitter, big gold hex glitter, gold bar glitter, fine iridescent white glitter and fine red glitter in a clear base. From mixing and slight bleeding (which I hoped for) I got a red jelly base. Yay!

This is two coats of Lion Hearted Girl on bare nails (my index and ring fingers). I love how it is bold, girly, and fun at the same time. And of course, very Gryffindor!

It is even more amazing in real life and I can't help staring at my nails and feeling like Hermione myself! Besides the colors being distinctly Gryffindor, they also remind me of the pretty red dress she wears to Bill and Fleur's wedding in the films and her pretty golden brown curls.

Here is the full mani. Lion Hearted Girl on bare nails. Two coats of Goldeneye by O.P.I on my middle finger and two coats of The Spy Who Loved Me by O.P.I on my thumb and pinkie. Both polishes are from the James Bond collection.

What do you think of today's franken? Want to get your hands on your own? Next week I will be announcing my franken contest, so stay tuned!

Revlon Colorstay Overtime Mascara

Again...my mascara hunt continues...

I think I am getting closer to what I want in the drugstore realm though. Check it out!

Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lengthening Mascara in Blackest Black. For about $8, this mascara claims to last 24 hours, and be tear, sweat, and humidity proof. It needs dual phased makeup remover at the end of the day.

This is for someone who wants length and a tiny bit of volume. What I like about this mascara is that the formula is dry, drier than most I have tried so it is easy to layer and you get no smudges with very little wait time. The con to that is it makes your lashes look a little unhealthy. I like the very long packaging and the thin brush, you can really get the small little lashes.

Here it is with two coats on my eye. I like the color and the lengthening. This is a good everyday mascara without a lot of drama. It looks natural and is easy to apply. I did not test it for 24 hours because I do not sleep in my mascara, but I have been having terrible allergies and it did not run or smear, so it is tear proof. Good staying power.

The formula is very different and that makes it easy for me to do my mascara and eyeshadow without waiting around forever. I do wish it did more for my lashes though.

Price: 8/10
Performance: 9/10
Color/Wearability: 9/10
Packaging: 10/10
Overall Quality: 8/10

Total: 44/50 = B+ = Pleased Panda

Have you tried this? Any drugstore mascara faves?

Panda-monium Mondays!

Hey Pandas!
Welcome to my new Monday post which is going to function as a mish-mash of a bunch of things blog related and beyond. It will also be the place I will be posting about contests etc (and yes, my first one is coming up soon!)

First of all, on my old blog space I used to have a lot of epic panda pictures and I am going to bring that back...say hello to your dose of cuteness for the week!

And speaking of Pandas, what is Miss Pretty Panda lemming for this week? The new Jo Malone Sugar and Spice collection!

The scents are: Lemon Tart, Redcurrant and Cream, Elderflower and Gooseberry, Ginger Biscuit, and Bitter Chocolate and Orange. Um, yum! Sign me up for all of them okay?

There have been a ton of looks I have loved from NY Fashion Week, but I have to say this is one I want to translate:

I love the dark lips and taupe eyes, STILL. It is really timeless alone with the side-swept hair. One of my fave shows this year.

And of course makeup trends go hand in hand with nail trends! My favorite this week is also from NY Fashion week, but from another show.

These are so cool, throughout the whole show the models had nails with pictures from famous horror movies. The slight point is edgy as well. Love!

And my inspiration song for the week: Imagine Dragons Radioactive. Weird video but great song!

Hope you enjoyed my first Panda-monium Monday!

NYX Aqua Luxe Glam Gloss: Swatches and Review

A good gloss is harder to find than you would expect, but it can be found on a budget.

NYX is one of those brands I tend to gravitate towards because they have quality at a reasonable price. I recently tried one of their Butter Glosses, but I do prefer this one!

This is NYX Aqua Luxe Glam Gloss in Glitter Dreams. It is a hot pink sheer base with tons of pink and gold glitter. This really is a disco ball on the lips. It retails for just under $5, has a spatula type applicator and no real smell.

This is for someone that wants to make a statement with very little effort. Just swipe this on and go! The formula is non-sticky, long lasting, and not gritty despite the amount of glitter. I know glitter can be intimidating, but this is for a fun night out.

This really is a comfortable gloss to wear and the wet look of the gloss paired with the glitter give lips a plumped up effect without the pain!

I mean look! I am so in love with this gloss and am planning on picking up more in other colors!

A cheap, fun, and functional gloss for spring. A must have from NYX's new offerings.

Price: 10/10
Performance: 10/10
Color/Wearability: 9/10
Packaging: 10/10
Overall Quality: 10/10

Total: 49/50 = A+ = Pandamonium!

Have you tried these new glosses? Fave shade I should pick up?

Polish, Pages, and Pretties: Butter London Fiver

Hello Pandas!
I decided to spice up the blog a bit I am going to still be doing reviews but I am going to add a few new weekly posts along with Franken Tuesdays. They will include some Panda-monium Mondays, a FOTD post, and this one...called Polish, Pages, and Pretties where I will photograph a new polish swatch with books or jewelery, or both! I know there are other blogs that do the book thing and I am not trying to rip them off whatsoever, just do a new spin on it and see how it works. Enjoy!

Here is Butter London Fiver from the Spring 2013 collection. It is a gorgeous pale mint, paler than a lot of the other mints in similar collections and runs more green than blue.

I did like the other colors from the collection, but they are all pretty easy to dupe, so I picked the color that is taking over--mint. We are seeing it everywhere and I love the trend. For $14, you can easily be Spring ready without buying a whole new mint wardrobe.

Fiver was easy to work with. It is streaky with one coat, but two evens it out brilliantly and gives a nice shiny finish. I think this would also look lovely matte. Dry time is quicker than average, and faster than most of my other BL's. I get about a weeks wear from Butter London polishes.

Here is Fiver next to the amazing and hilarious "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me (and other concerns)" by Mindy Kaling. I am obsessed with her and her new show. Must read and must watch!

Tagging fun!

I think tags are really fun in the beauty blog world. They are a chance for all of us to get to know each other better and introduce each other to new blogs! This is my first time being tagged, and I was tagged by the lovely Makeup Morsels. I adore her blog, read it everyday, and you have to check it out! Her Wednesday Wigeon posts are amazing as is her love for Ellis Faas products.

Now...here is how this works:

1) Answer my 11 questions!

2) Write 11 of your own!

3) Tag away and the fun continues! Oh and make sure you state who tagged you!

Questions from MM:

1. Favorite ice cream/fro-yo toppings?

Oreo cookies, they are my total weakness on fro-yo. And Strawberries!

2. Do you wear perfume on a daily basis?

No, maybe every other day and more if I am going out. For casual...a B&BW spritzer works nice.

3. The best accessory is _______

A sense of humor!

4. The funniest thing that’s happened to you (or that you’ve seen/heard) recently.

I tripped getting off the shuttle bus going to work? Does that count? My life is boring when it comes to mishaps...I am so careful!

5. What do you look for in the blogs you enjoy reading?

I like a unique element and voice from the writer. The photography doesn't have to be great, but show me who you are! It is okay to be witty!

6. Your most-frequented websites:

Etsy. Or in other words--Regret-sy. HELP!

7. What’s one book you think everyone should read?

Alice in Wonderland.

8. A dream you’ve had recently, and what you think it says about your life (ohhh getting deep here):

I had a dream I turned into a Kangaroo! (not a panda :( boo) and I think it is telling me I am trying to keep things close (the pouch...)

9. Your typical weekend consists of:

Working all day Friday and then Friday night dinner with the family, work Saturday and then going out with friends, brunch Sunday and marathon blogging!

10. Dead silence or pandemonium?

PANDAmonium is more like it ;)

11. What’s your favorite place to visit (can be anything from a room in your house to a country)?

Cambria. A little town in Northern-ish California. Anyone ever been?

Now...My 11 Questions:

1. Is there a celebrity that often inspires your look?
2. Smoky all-around eyeliner or a precise wing-liner look?
3. Favorite tea or coffee drink?
4. The song that will not leave your head right now.
5. If you had $50 in your pocket and the day off from school/work, what would you do?
6. Favorite guilty pleasure TV show?
7. Favorite multi-tasking beauty product?
8. Someone is making a movie of your life...who do you want cast as the main star?
9. A hike through the mountains or a trek through the mall?
10. Worst fashion regret?
11. Star Wars or Star Trek?

So...I am going to tag--- Tracy at Beauty Reflections, Sara at the Beautiful World of Lennyn B, Shannon at RaspberryKiss, and Tina at My Highest Self

Have fun!

Kourtney's Kardazzle!

I have to round out the bunch. She may be my favorite Kardashian. But Scott is well...Scott..

Her case has a rose tone to it and is indicative of the colors inside. While Kim's is dark and smokey and Khloe's is neutral, Koutney's is feminine.

For $12.99, you get 4 matte shadows (which didn't show up, like Khloé's. Kim's mattes performed the best) and 4 sparkly shades. You get 3 face colors too.

I love the sparkly shades. No fallout, creamy and pigmented. A bright gold, a rose-toned silver, a burgundy, and a dark brown.

Again, the highlighter is basically the same in all three palettes.

Kim's had to be the best, Kourtney's the second, and Khloe's the worst. I guess that corresponds to people's opinions on them all rather nicely eh? Cute travel palette.

Price: 7/10
Performance: 7/10
Color/Wearability: 8/10
Packaging: 10/10
Overall Quality: 7/10

Total: 39/50 = C+ = Mildly Dissapointed Panda

Who is your favorite Kardashian? Or favorite palette of the three?
